Public Tip Leads to Impaired Driving Arrest

On June 15th, 2023, at 6:48pm, a concerned citizen contacted police in regards to a possible impaired adult female driving a motor vehicle near the intersection of Laird Road and Clair Road West in the City of Guelph.

At 7:40pm, police found the vehicle in a residential parking lot located near the intersection of Victoria Road North and Woodlawn Road East. Police spoke with the female, and she subsequently failed an Approved Screening Device roadside breath test. She was arrested.

A 59-year-old Guelph female has been charged with:

• Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration

Her driver’s license was suspended for 90 days, and her vehicle was impounded for seven days. She will appear in court on June 30th.
