
Rear-ended by Impaired Female at Red Light

On June 22nd, 2023, at 5:06pm, police were notified regarding a motor vehicle collision that had just occurred at the intersection of Eramosa Road and Meyer Drive in the City of Guelph.
An adult male had been rear-ended by an adult female while stopped at a red light.
The male was subsequently transported to the Guelph General Hospital for treatment of neck and back pain.
Police spoke with the female, and at 5:32pm, she failed an Approved Screening Device roadside breath test. She was subsequently arrested.
A 58-year-old Guelph female has been charged with:
- Impaired Operation Of A Conveyance
- Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration
Her driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days, and her vehicle was impounded for seven days.
She will appear in court on July 7th.
