Restaurant Manager Assaulted Over Food Order

A Guelph man is charged with assault after a dispute over a food order at a south-end restaurant.

Shortly after 8 p.m. Saturday, police were called to a business near Stone Road West and Edinburgh Road South. A customer was unhappy with his order and began arguing with the manager, eventually pushing the manager twice and emptying a garbage can on the counter.

The customer was still on scene when officers arrived and was arrested. He was observed to be intoxicated.

A 27-year-old Guelph man is charged with assault and public intoxication. He will appear in court July 12.
