Second Teen Arrested in Weapons Incident

A second teenager has been arrested in connection with a December incident in which a man was threatened with weapons.

Just after 4 p.m. December 2, an adult male was walking near Scottsdale Drive and Wilsonview Avenue when he walked past a teen who appeared to be staring at him. The teen whistled and two other teens appeared and began throwing rocks at the complainant. One of the teens also pulled out a baton-like object and brandished it in a threatening manner.

The three began chasing the victim, who was able to get inside his home and call police. He was familiar with one of the teens from a previous altercation. The victim was not physically injured.

On December 21 a 13-year-old boy was located at his residence and arrested for uttering threats and failing to comply with an undertaking. On Thursday a second 13-year-old boy turned himself in to police and was arrested for assault with a weapon, uttering threats and failing to comply with an undertaking. Both have been released with court dates in February.

The third teen is still outstanding and a warrant has been sought for his arrest.
