A Guelph man faces charges after a man in his late 80s was assaulted during a family dispute Wednesday afternoon.
Approximately 4 p.m. police were called to a residence in the north end. A woman reported her adult son had attended and been denied entry by his grandfather due to an ongoing dispute.
During the altercation the grandfather was pulled out of the house and fell off the porch onto the lawn. He was assessed by paramedics but did not sustain any serious injuries.
A 42-year-old Guelph man is charged with assault, being unlawfully in a dwelling and breaching a probation order. He was held for a bail hearing Thursday.
