Sledgehammer Used to Enter Guelph Business

The Guelph Police Service is investigating after a sledgehammer was used in a break-in at a south-end business.

Just before 3 a.m. Monday, police were called to a business at Victoria Road South and Arkell Road. Someone had smashed a window to enter the business, then used a sledgehammer to smash a hole through the wall into a neighbouring business. No theft was reported.

The suspect is described as a white male wearing a green jacket, black pants and white gloves.

The incident remains under investigation.
