Sleeping Infront of Business w/Fentanyl & Heroin

A Guelph male faces drug charges after he was found Friday sleeping outside a local business.

Police were called approximately noon to a business on Woodlawn Road West where they found a male dozing off. Investigation revealed he was wanted in another jurisdiction for breaching a probation order and he was arrested.

During a search incident to arrest officers located quantities of fentanyl and heroin, as well as a digital scale and several unused baggies consistent with drug packaging.

A 37-year-old Guelph male is charged with two counts of possessing controlled substances for the purpose of trafficking and breaching probation. He will appear in a Guelph court August 11, 2023.
