Speeding Prohibited Motorcyclists Arrested with Meth

On June 21st, at 2:36pm, members of the Guelph Police Service Break Enter Auto Theft (BEAT) Unit observed two adult males driving motorcycles at a high rate of speed in the City of Guelph. It was also observed that one of the motorcycles had an imitation Ontario licence plate and had an adult female riding on the back with a backpack.

Once stopped near the intersection of Woodlawn Road West and Elmira Road North, investigation revealed that both males were prohibited from driving. They were subsequently arrested.

Search incident to arrest revealed the backpack to contain 89 grams of Crystal Methamphetamine valued at $1,500.

The female was subsequently arrested.

A 28-year-old Mount Forest male has been charged with:

  • Operate While Prohibited x3
  • Drive While Under Suspension
  • Use Plate Not Authorized
  • Possession For The Purpose Of Trafficking

He will appear in court on August 4th.

A 29-year-old Palmerston male has been charged with:

  • Operate While Prohibited x10
  • Possession For The Purpose Of Trafficking

He was held in custody pending a bail hearing on June 26th.

A 30-year-old Listowel female has been charged with:

  • Possession For The Purpose Of Trafficking

She was held in custody pending a bail hearing on June 23rd.
