What began as a bylaw call over parking tickets quickly escalated into a criminal investigation. Police say the vehicle had already been reported stolen before it was found sitting in a local lot.
The Guelph Police Service is investigating after a car stolen from Hamilton was located in a Guelph parking lot.
Approximately 2:40 a.m. Tuesday police were contacted by City of Guelph Bylaw Enforcement officers. They had been called to tow a vehicle from a parking lot on Arkell Road after several parking tickets were issued by a private security company.
Records showed the car had earlier been reported stolen from Hamilton.
