A routine morning shift turned unusual when staff noticed a vehicle that hadn’t moved all night. What began as a simple check on an overstayed customer quickly escalated into a police call, revealing the car was stolen from another region. Readers have been following similar theft cases closely — this one adds another unanswered question to a growing trend.
The Guelph Police Service is investigating after a stolen vehicle was abandoned Tuesday morning at a south-end gas station.
Shortly before 10 a.m. police were called to a business near Gordon Street and Kortright Road after staff noted a silver Lexus had been parked at a pump for approximately eight hours.
Investigation revealed the vehicle had been stolen from Halton Region. The investigation is ongoing.
