A Guelph teen has been arrested after spitting on five Guelph Police Service officers last month.
Just before 5 p.m. October 26 police responded to a disturbance at an address on Waterloo Avenue. A teen approached an officer inside the home and pushed him in the chest. He was apprehended and taken to hospital for treatment where he spat in the faces of two officers and spat on another two officers’ clothing.
The teen was moved to a private room, where he spat in a third officer’s face and also spat in the face of a security guard. He was left in care of hospital personnel for treatment.
On Sunday evening he was located at a residence in the south end and arrested. A 16-year-old Guelph boy is charged with five counts of assault police and one count of assault. He will appear in court December 31.
