Teen Whips Senior with Belt in Altercation
Listen to this articleA Guelph teenager faces charges after an elderly male was whipped with a belt Monday afternoon.
Just before 4 p.m. two males were involved in a verbal altercation in a parking lot near Willow Road and Dawson Road. The younger male left the area, but returned a short time later. He removed his belt and whipped the victim twice, causing a minor injury to his arm. The victim, who is in his 70s, declined medical treatment.

A 17-year-old Guelph male was located nearby and arrested for assault with a weapon. He was held for a bail hearing Tuesday.
