Third Youth Arrested – Homeless Disabled Attack

A third youth has been arrested in connection with an attack on a homeless disabled male last fall.

On October 27th, 2022, a 63-year-old male was sleeping in his motorized scooter outside a downtown parkade when he was repeatedly punched and kicked by three males, sustaining minor injuries.

Video of the attack was shared widely on social media.

Two Guelph males, then aged 15 and 16, were arrested a short time after the incident and charged with Assault.

The investigation continued, resulting in the arrest of a 17-year-old Guelph male for Assault on June 14th, 2023.

He will appear in court July 26th.
