The Guelph Police Service is investigating after a west-end business sustained more than $6,000 in damage.
Just before 1 p.m. Monday the owner of a business near Silvercreek Parkway North and Willow Road called police after he arrived at the business to find two large windows smashed. He noted no entry was gained as he added enhanced security features following an earlier break and enter.
Security camera footage showed a man with his face covered approaching the business just after midnight. He used an unknown tool to smash the windows, then sprayed something believed to be a fire extinguisher up towards the security cameras.
The incident is under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call Constable Louis Kittel at 519-824-1212, ext. 7589, email lkittel@guelphpolice.ca, leave an anonymous message for Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or leave an anonymous tip online at www.csgw.tips.
