What could have been better than spending a beautiful long weekend day on a lake? How about one with complimentary cold beverages?
That’s what happened at Tim Hortons ‘Boat-Thru,’ which was set up for that weekend only during the Lake Scugog Regatta, west of Port Perry.
Timmies’ first-ever drive-thru for boats was open on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at Beacon Marina, at 3 Marina Dr. in Caesarea. The kiosk might have been on a dock, but the free drinks were only offered to thirsty customers who arrived on watercraft.
“The summertime Tims Run is an iconic Canadian tradition that’s a must-do when you’re gathering with family and friends. Our summers fly by so quickly, and Canadians savour every moment of their long weekends — so we thought, why not open our first-ever Tims Boat-Thru so our guests on Lake Scugog wouldn’t miss a minute on the water,” said Hope Bagozzi, Chief Marketing Officer for Tim Hortons.

“There was no better way to beat the heat that long weekend and all summer long than by enjoying one of our refreshing summer beverages.”
Here were the three drinks:
- Blackberry Yuzu Sparkling Quenchers
- Orange Ginger Sparkling Quenchers
- Caramel Toffee Cold Brew
