UG Teams Excel at Provincial Skills Competition

On May 6 and 7, hundreds of students from across the province gathered at the Toronto Congress Centre for the 2024 Skills Ontario competition.

The Upper Grand District School Board had many student teams competing in the competition. Earlier in April, UG teams who placed first at the regional Skills competition, advanced to the provincial level.

During the elementary Provincial Skills competition, Waverley Drive Public School placed first in grade 7/8 Vex Robotics, and they also placed first in grade 7/8 Lego Mechanics. East Garafraxa Public School placed third in grade 4-6 Vex Robotics. Palmerston Public School also placed fifth in the grade 7/8 Tech Design competition*.

Also happening at the Toronto Congress Centre this week was the secondary Skills Ontario Competition.
