A Guelph female faces an assault charge after a dispute between two dog walkers Wednesday turned physical.

During the altercation the male was bit by the female’s dog. As he tried to distance himself the male was punched twice in the neck area and had his shirt ripped by the female. He declined medical attention.

Responding officers located the female and placed her under arrest. A 33-year-old Guelph female is charged with assault. She will appear in court October 27.
