Vehicle Recovered Shortly After Being Reported Stolen

On July 6th, 2024, at 10am, a report was made to the Guelph Police Service that overnight a motor vehicle was taken from the driveway of a residence located just outside the downtown core of the City of Guelph.

At 3:19pm, police observed an adult male driving the vehicle a short distance away from the residence.

A traffic stop was initiated, and the male was subsequently arrested.

Further investigation revealed that the male has never possessed a driver’s licence and is a suspended driver.

A 43-year-old Guelph male has been charged with:

  • Possession Of Property Obtained By Crime Over $5,000
  • Failure To Comply With Probation Order
  • Drive Motor Vehicle – No License
  • Drive While Under Suspension

He will appear in court on August 16th.
