Repeat Violent Assault and Forcible Confinement Offender Also Charged with Possessing Stolen Handcuffs

A Guelph male already facing several charges had another added to the list when he was found to be in possession of stolen handcuffs.

On Wednesday morning, the male was arrested on several assault and forcible confinement charges and brought to the station. During a search of his property officers located a pair of handcuffs which had been stolen from a vehicle in 2023.

The 55-year-old Guelph man was further charged with possessing stolen property. He was held for a bail hearing Thursday on all charges.
