Weapons Charges After Roommate Dispute

A Guelph woman faces assault and weapons charges following a dispute between roommates Sunday night.

Just after 11 p.m. police were called to a home near Hanlon and Flanders roads. A woman reported she had been arguing with her roommate when the other woman brandished a collapsible baton and threatened her with it.

Officers arrived and found the roommate still on scene. An 18-year-old Guelph woman is charged with assault with a weapon and possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose. She will appear in court March 15.
