West-end Apartment Storage Room Break-in and Theft

The Guelph Police Service is investigating after a storage room at a west-end apartment building was entered and items stolen.

On Monday afternoon, the superintendent of a building near Paisley and Elmira roads contacted police after being notified by tenants of missing items.

Surveillance video showed a male gaining entry to the building approximately 7 a.m. January 3. He unsuccessfully attempted to enter an office and bicycle storage room before entering the main storage room by kicking open the door. Missing items included a battery and charger for an electric lawnmower, described as lime green and black in colour.

The male was wearing a dark winter coat with fur on the hood, a red and black toque, green camo pants, black gloves and a black backpack with brown buckles.
