West End Drug Bust: Debt List, Fake Firearms
Four people were arrested early Wednesday as part of an ongoing investigation into drug trafficking.
Members of the Guelph Police Service Drug Unit received information about trafficking at an apartment building in the city’s west end. Just before 4 a.m. Wednesday, search warrants were executed on several apartment units by members of the Drug Unit, Tactics and Rescue Unit and Break Enter Auto Theft Unit.
Officers recovered quantities of suspected crystal methamphetamine, fentanyl and cocaine with a total street value of more than $17,000. Also seized were eight replica firearms, bear spray, cash and drug trafficking paraphernalia including scales, packaging and debt lists.
Three Guelph males – aged 56, 25 and 24 – and a 25-year-old Guelph female face numerous charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking. Two of the males are also charged with breaching court orders. All were held in custody for bail hearings Wednesday.
