White BMW X3 Hits Vehicle Fleeing Police

The Guelph Police Service is investigating after an SUV struck another vehicle while fleeing from police Thursday afternoon.

At 2:40 p.m. an officer was patrolling in the area of Silvercreek Parkway North and Woodlawn Road West. A white BMW X3 driving in front of the cruiser suddenly accelerated, sideswiping another vehicle as it continued southbound on Silvercreek Parkway North. The vehicle was not pursued in the interest of public safety and was last seen southbound on the Hanlon Expressway.

The other vehicle sustained minor damage and there were no injuries reported. The BMW had Quebec licence plates and was occupied by three black males in their 20s.
