Woman Attempts to Disarm Police Officer

A Guelph woman was arrested Thursday after trying to grab a police officer’s gun.

Shortly after midnight, officers were in an exam room at Guelph General Hospital with a woman awaiting an assessment when the woman reached for an officer’s firearm and grabbed the top of the holster. She was not successful in removing the weapon.

A 41-year-old Guelph woman was arrested for attempting to disarm a police officer. She will appear in court July 16.
