Listen to this article

Two 14-year-old Guelph males have been arrested in connection with a fire that destroyed a boat earlier this year.

On April 26, just after 5 p.m., emergency services were called to a business near Eramosa Road and Stevenson Street North after thick smoke was seen coming from a boat in the parking lot.

The fire was extinguished and Guelph Fire officials located an empty bottle of alcohol, a barbecue lighter and several rags inside. The incident was captured on video.

Two 14-year-old males were arrested on the weekend and charged with arson. They have been released with court dates in July.
