The Guelph Police Service is investigating after almost $5,000 in video games and consoles were stolen Wednesday from a north-end business.
Just before 11 a.m. police received an alarm call from a business near Woodlawn Road West and Woolwich Street. An employee said a man entered the business and asked him to look for something in the back of the store.
While the clerk was distracted the suspect went behind the counter. He placed two Nintendo Switch Pokemon systems and 28 copies of Pokemon Legends games into a green reusable bag and fled the store.
The suspect was described as black, mid-20s, 6 feet tall and wearing a black hoodie under a black vest, grey pants, a white face mask, white hat and black shoes.
