A 65-year-old Guelph man is facing several charges after police say a west-end business employee was targeted during two separate theft-related incidents. The most recent incident happened Saturday night when a man allegedly took beer and threatened the clerk.
A Guelph man was arrested Tuesday after an employee of a west-end business was twice threatened and assaulted during thefts.
Saturday night a man entered a business near Paisley Road and Imperial Road South and selected beer. He told the clerk he would not pay for it and uttered a threat. The clerk recognized the man from a previous interaction last September during which he assaulted her while stealing items.
On Tuesday a 65-year-old Guelph man was arrested for two counts each of theft under $5,000, uttering threats and breaching an undertaking. He was held for a bail hearing Wednesday. (Occurrence number GU26037233)
